Trans-European bicycle route «EuroVelo 6», which connects the Atlantic with the Black Sea, passes through the most beautiful parts of Serbia.

Euro Velo through Serbia

Bicycle route through Serbia, which goes from Backi Breg to Bregovo, is divided into seven sections. Fourth section Novi Sad - Belgrade (96 km long), passes through the territory of the municipality of Indjija – from Cortanovci over Beska and Krcedin, then along a new road alongside Slankamenacki Vinogradi to Stari Slankamen and further towards Surduk.

The route leads over the ledge part of Fruska Gora Mountain, through the landscape where the woods of the National park, the Srem plain and orchards mingle. Along the route there are series of viewpoints with beautiful views of the River Danube bank.

By taking off the route and riding to interesting settlements of the Municipality of Indjija, tourists can enjoy  beauties of the Danube bank, get to know the tradition of the area or feel contemporary spirit of Indjija, as a centre of one of the most developed municipalities in Serbia.

Besides exploring roads and paths through interesting settlements of the municipality of Indjija, marked walking and cycling routes in Stari Slankamen are also available to the cyclists. The route is consisted of two sections 8.3 km long, with slope up to 10% and leads partly over asphalt and partly over macadam. Along the route there is beautiful scenery of the Danube and surrounding nature, as well as numerous cultural and historical sights of Stari Slankamen.
